FRYD.CA (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through fryd.ca, why we collect it, and how we protect it, in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
1. Information We Collect
- Order information: name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, the products you order and your order history.
- Payment information: the payment method you choose and the details needed to match your payment to your order (for example, the name on an Interac e-Transfer, a Skrill reference, or a cryptocurrency transaction ID or screenshot you upload). We do not collect or store credit card numbers or banking passwords.
- Account information: if you create an account, your login email and password (stored in encrypted form).
- Communications: messages you send us by email or WhatsApp.
- Newsletter: your email address and language preference, if you subscribe.
- Technical information: basic data your browser sends when you visit, such as IP address and browser type, kept in standard server logs for security.
2. How We Use It
- To process, ship and support your orders, including sending order confirmations and tracking numbers.
- To confirm payments and prevent fraud.
- To confirm you are of legal age to buy our products.
- To answer your questions and provide customer support.
- To send our newsletter, only if you’ve subscribed — you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep the Site secure and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
3. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed for the Site to work: your shopping cart and login session, your language preference (English/French), and a cookie that remembers you’ve confirmed your age. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
4. Who We Share It With
We share personal information only as needed to run the store:
- Shipping carriers — your name, address and phone number, to deliver your order.
- Payment providers — such as Interac or Skrill, as part of processing your payment. Cryptocurrency transactions are recorded on public blockchains, which we don’t control.
- Service providers — our website hosting, email and internal order-notification and messaging tools (including WhatsApp), which process information on our behalf.
- Authorities — when required by law, or to protect our rights or prevent fraud.
Some service providers may store or process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
5. How Long We Keep It
We keep order and payment records for as long as needed to fulfil your order and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements (generally up to 7 years). Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Uploaded payment screenshots are deleted once no longer needed to verify the payment.
6. How We Protect It
The Site uses encrypted HTTPS connections, access to customer data is limited to staff who need it, and we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No online system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Your Rights
You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw your consent to its use (subject to legal and contractual limits — for example, we need your address to ship an order). You can also ask us to delete your account. To make a request, email support@fryd.ca. We’ll respond within 30 days.
If you’re not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial privacy commissioner.
8. Minors
The Site is for adults of legal cannabis age only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the legal age, and we’ll delete it if we learn we have.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it was last changed.
